Bezel is the top-rated and arguably highest-volume place to buy and sell luxury watches online. They have over $700 million worth of listings, and one of the fun parts of having all those transactions flowing through your marketplace is that you can see exactly where and why things are trending.
And one of the fun things for us is that Bezel has shared all of that data in their recent report on 2024 Watch Market Trends and Insights. So strap in for five of our key takeaways, including which brands, sizes, and materials you should watch for your next watch.
1. Vintage has Lost Some Appeal

People are wanting newer and more modern watches on the resale market, with three-quarters of the desired pieces coming from the last 15 years.
There are some practical benefits to a more modern watch, including accuracy and reliability, and there are some historic pieces that will always hold their value, but this means it’s a great time to get into the world of vintage watches as the mainstream focuses elsewhere and some less iconic older models can be had for a bargain.
2. Dark Dials are More Desirable

Both in wants and in sales, black and blue dial colors lead the way with over half of the market. That doesn’t mean those of you with lighter tastes are out of luck—it’s more like the opposite. Dark-hued dials of the same make and model will likely be at a premium compared to those in silver and white.
