Unbranded UB101 (3.5 Years, 5 Washes)
Joshua in Kentucky is reminding us that one of the most affordable denim brands in the game has no brand at all – rather it stays Unbranded.
Worn for 3.5 years and put through 5 washes, Josh has gotten his money’s worth out of his pair of Unbranded 101s. Never babied but always reliable, they have really hung in there for our guy who says they are the best article of clothing he has ever owned. And when it comes to building a connection with the garments in our wardrobe does it get any better than that?
Featuring optimistic shades of blue with white streaky whiskers and honeycombs these jeans have all the hallmarks of a proper Fade Friday. However, it might be the grittiness of the crotch and back left pocket situation that makes them a true contender in our eyes.

One of the first patterns humans ever produced is the centerpiece of Iron & Resin’s summer collection.
Broken twill herringbone fabric was the mainstay of the American Armed Forces in World War II and those same fatigues have inspired the styles of Iron & Resin’s Brigade Pant, Major Shirt, Military Jacket and more.

Tencel has been lauded as one of the most revolutionary fibers in the textile industry for a few years, but makers in our niche haven’t been using it as much as the wider fashion industry. Looking to change that is Wythe, with its Pearlsnap Shit in Regenerated Tencel Gabardine.
Tencel yarns are made from regenerated cellulosic fibers, known for soft hand and rich colour retention. Pair those qualities with the tight weave and moisture-wicking properties of gabardine and you have yourself a smooth ass fabric perfect for an Americana classic like the snap Western Shirt. Not to mention it’s a far more sustainable fabric than, say, a virgin cotton chambray. Shout out Wythe for thinking outside of the box, here.
Available for $198 from Franklin & Poe.

Resortwear cool meets military sensibility with the Soundman Morris Shirt, a standout piece from the Japanese label’s SS24 roster.
Made in Japan from high-quality linen cloth, the Morris Shirt is designed to keep you cool and comfortable during the warmer months with a loose, relaxed fit, and an open collar. The world is awash with open-collar shirts that echo mid-century resort wear but Soundman has set this iteration apart by blending that inspiration with the silhouette of the M-1943 shirt, which was issued with the same gusseted chest pockets and large buttons you see here.
Neat.
Available for $245 from Clutch Cafe.

Inspired by an original pair of naval deck pants, Red Cloud went above and beyond to remain true to the OG, even going as far as weaving proprietary denim to ensure an accurate texture. Modernized with a hidden drawstring, you can get a serious look while keeping the effort casual and adjustable.
Closed out with a button fly, scarily authentic repairs, and a flowy wide-cut, you can throw these on whether you have a USN background or not — you already know some civilians adopted these pants for casual wear. All they need is some pumps and a quality white tee and you have one of the most ironclad summer looks of all time.
Available for $380 from Red Cloud.
