Heddels Holiday Gift Guide 2025

Heddels Holiday Gift Guide 2025

We continue the tradition of our yearly Holiday Gift Guide, filled with the best heritage goods and stocking fillers money can buy.

James Smith

Receiving or giving a great gift is often the nucleus of great festive memories. Whether it’s unwrapping that grail video game as a kid, receiving an unexpected and well-thought-out gift as an adult, or seeing a loved one’s face light up as they open up a present you bought them, these memories are precious and can last a lifetime.

While gifting is far from the most important part of the holidays, it helps us to show our loved ones that we care. But buying for someone who has gotten into the realm of more niche, quality goods can be tough — I, for one, don’t envy my partner one bit. With that in mind, we created our yearly Holiday Gift Guide — a list that you can use to guide a purchase for someone into well-made, heritage-centric goods, or pass on to someone who needs some inspiration for what to get you.

We’ve chosen products from a range of prices, categories, and makers, and hope that you can find either the perfect gift or some solid inspiration from this list. Happy holidays, folks.

Naturally, we always include a pair of jeans in our gift guide – something interesting, fairly accessible, and not at the top end of the selvedge price range. This year, we’ve picked Left Field NYC‘s Smokestacks jeans in their newly released 16 oz. low-tension selvedge denim from Japan.

Woven with a bit of slack in the loom to create a highly textured fabric, this selvedge denim has a grainy surface with slubs and irregularities that make each pair totally unique before any fades have been carved in. They’re made in the USA and come chock full of details that make them perfect for gifting, from the green-tinted waistband button to the custom bandana pocket bags, and beyond.

Available at Left Field NYC for $240

If you want to gift selvedge denim to a lucky lady, Railcar has a great collection of thoughtfully crafted women’s selvedge denim jeans, including these Emily x114 Stretch Selvedge Wide Legs.

These are built from an indigo-dyed 11 oz. selvedge denim with added stretch for comfort and an improved fit. The Emily silhouette has a closer-fitting top block that opens up into a bellowing wide leg, offering classic style that works with a range of aesthetics. Each pair is handmade by Steven and the crew in Railcar’s El Monte HQ, and comes with a custom vegetable-tanned leather waist patch, doubled waistband to avoid over-stretching, and a ‘peek a boo’ selvedge coin pocket.

Available at Railcar for $238.

Hario‘s Double Mesh Metal Coffee Dripper is the perfect gift for the filter coffee enthusiast in your life. Even if they’re already into V60/drip coffee, chances are they haven’t got this Double Mesh dripper that highlights acidity in its brewing through a superfine metal mesh that also negates the need for filter papers.

Available at Kiriko for $48.50

We’ve had this Dehen 1920 piece earmarked for the Holiday Gift Guide since it dropped over at Franklin & Poe – it’s just such a special piece.  The Skyline Overshirt is inspired by USN CPO Shirts, constructed from a custom wool blend that weighs in at a hefty 20 oz. per square yard, in other words, it’s thick, robust, and above all else, warm. Dual chest pockets provide storage and anchor the silhouette to its workwear roots, while adjustable cuffs can make way for thicker gloves if required.

Vintage Sears & Roebuck ad for their iconic Hercules shirts via What-I-Found and Your Memories For Less.

Looking like a piece of workwear from a 1920s Sears & Roebuck catalog, this piece just screams ‘winter’ with its iconic red on black plaid. If you have a higher budget and want a showstopping, heritage-inspired gift, it’s hard to go wrong with this edition of Dehen 1920 Skyline Overshirt.

Available at Franklin & Poe for $365.

Socks get a bad rap in the gifting game, especially at Christmas time. But in our neck of the woods, socks are special, well-crafted, and eye-wateringly expensive to the layperson.

There’s a whole bunch of Japanese brands knitting super high-quality socks, with UES offering some of the best price-to-quality. Their SX-10 socks are knit from thick, multicolored, air-spun yarns using low-gauge knitting machines for texture and comfort. Coming in three colorways and two sizes for the perfect fit, these socks are a shoo-in gift for someone who appreciates well-made goods.

Available for $26 from Brooklyn Clothing.

A scarf is always a great gift, but not everyone likes to have wool close to their neck due to its itch factor. Kapital‘s Bandana Kesa Scarf is made from a comfortable and itch-free 70/30 rayon/linen blend, which is indigo-dyed and printed with a beautiful bandana pattern that brings any outfit to life. The Kesa Scarf is also built in Kapital’s muffler style, easier to wear than a traditional scarf—just pull the scarf through the hole, and you’re good to go.

Available for $150 from STAG.

Brave Star Selvage offers rugged and unique denim goods at some of the most competitive prices on the market. Take this 13 oz. Beet-Dyed Japan Selvedge Mojave jacket, for example. We see brands asking for almost triple this amount for well-crafted selvedge that incorporates natural dyes, but this piece clocks in at just $178.

This edition of Brave Star’s Mojave jacket is cut from a 13 oz. Japanese selvedge denim with an earthy red cast achieved through natural beetroot pigments. The beet-dyed yarns are then slowly woven into selvedge denim on vintage shuttle looms, creating a rich texture that gives even more character to the vegetable-powered denim.

The Mojave silhouette is a no-nonsense trucker jacket affair inspired by iconic denim blousons. Acorn-shaped chest pockets are flanked by dual pleats that run parallel to the button placket, echoing details of the mid-century jackets from Lee & Levi’s. Handwarmer pockets add a modern touch of utility seen on later Levi’s truckers, while triple-stitching and bar tacks provide ironclad construction that will keep the Mojave in action for many years to come.

Available for $178 from Brave Star Selvage.

Whilst we haven’t smelled this candle, the tin alone makes this All American Maker AM-76 Candle a befitting gift for the garage-dwelling man in your life, be that your partner, dad, grandpa — whoever. If they’re in any way handy, they’ll be all too familiar with the squeak-stoppin’ phenomenon that is WD-40. The rip-off design on the tin of this soy-based candle gives it a tongue-in-cheek feel, but judging by its ingredients and the scents of All American Makers’ other candles, this is sure to smell beautiful.

Even if it literally smells like WD-40, is that a bad thing?

Available for $25 from All American Maker.

Rollerball colognes have been an absolute game-changer. Easy to apply without the risk of spraying yourself in the eyes or mouth, the rollerball format also allows for thicker oils and concentrates to be put into the cologne, putting the scent in a different dimension than a typical parfum or eau de toilette.

Manready Mercantile has a bunch of lovely Rollerball colognes, all made in Houston, Texas. From tobacco and whiskey to musk and fig, there’s a stocking-filling scent for everybody.

Available for $36 from Manready Mercantile.
